The best VR games make virtual worlds feel like places you’ve actually been.

When modern VR first arrived, there was a lot of excitement around what it could become. You could see the potential, but many of the early games were short, rough, or felt more like tech demos.

Then Half-Life: Alyx came along.

For me, that was the moment VR finally delivered on the promise people had seen in it from the beginning. It showed just how good a game built from the ground up for VR could be, and how real its world could feel while you were inside it.

The frustrating part is that VR started delivering more of what was originally promised just as the hype around it began to fade. Since then, the games have only gotten bigger, better, and more polished.

That’s what we wanted this collection to capture so we worked with GamerTag VR to pick 7 games that show off the best of VR today.

If you’re new to VR, this is where we’d start. And if you haven’t put on your headset in a few years, I think you’re going to be surprised by how much has changed.
