The fine print
Program rules at a glance
The short version of how the program runs. The full rules are in the Creator Program section of our Terms of Service.
How views are counted
- Each video needs 500 views to count. Below that it adds nothing. At 500 or more, all of its views count.
- Copies of the same video on your connected accounts are added together and count as one video.
- Views count until the collection ends. The rate is the same on every platform.
- We read view counts from your connected accounts automatically, so keep those accounts connected until your earnings are final.
- TikTok, Instagram and YouTube refresh their connections on their own schedule, so now and then one will ask you to reconnect. We email you the moment it happens, and reconnecting from your dashboard takes a few clicks. Keep an eye on your inbox and your views keep counting.
Getting paid
- The standard rate is $4 per 1,000 qualifying views. Each collection shows its own rate and cap before you claim, and the terms in effect when you claim are the ones that apply to you.
- Earnings start once your qualifying views in a collection reach 1,000, and stop at $1,000 per collection.
- Each collection has a creator pool that grows when the collection hits sales milestones. If the pool is fully earned before the collection ends, the campaign closes early: new claims stop, view counts freeze, and everyone is paid in full for what they earned. Because we closed it early, a slot that had no video yet is released without a warning, and you keep the keys.
- Earnings are paid after the collection ends. You need at least $50 in accumulated earnings to be eligible for a payout. Before a payout we may ask you to verify your identity with our payments provider.
Slots and deadlines
- Slots are first come, first served. Claim the whole collection, or one game at a time.
- Publish at least one video for each claim while the collection is live, and submit it before the collection ends. Videos cannot be submitted after that.
- The first missed deadline without a reason we accept is a warning. A second one before the warning clears cancels your remaining claims and sits you out of the next collection. Two collections in a row delivered on time clear a warning.
- Serious non-delivery, fraud or abuse can mean repaying rewards and removal from the program.
Keys
- Keys arrive the moment you claim, for the country on your Digiphile account. Steam keys are region-locked, so keep that country up to date.
- Keys are for making your videos. They cannot be sold, traded, gifted or exchanged.
Your accounts and your data
What connecting an account does
Nothing happens until you choose to connect an account. When you do, you sign in with Instagram, TikTok or Google on their own page, and you see exactly what you are granting before you agree. We only get read access, and only to the account you picked.
About the program
Digiphile is an online store that sells curated collections of video games. The Short Form Video Program is how we work with creators who make short-form video about games.
Approved creators claim a slot on one of our collections and get Steam keys for the games in it. They play the games, publish short-form video about them on their own Instagram, TikTok or YouTube account, and send us the link. We count the views those videos get and pay a reward based on that count.
Creators are the people we provide this service to. Your creator profile shows you the accounts you have connected and the figures we read from them, tracks the slots you have claimed and the keys you were issued, and is where your reward for a campaign is worked out and shown back to you.
We are not an ad network and we do not resell anyone's data. The only reason we look at a creator's account is to confirm it belongs to them, to check they meet the program requirements, and to work out what we owe them.

While the account stays connected we re-read the details below roughly every few hours, so the numbers we hold stay current and so we can tell when a connection has stopped working. That stops the moment you disconnect.
What we read
- Your username or handle, your display name, your profile picture and a link to your profile, so we can show the account back to you and confirm it is the one you connected.
- Your follower or subscriber count, and on Instagram whether the account is a professional account.
- How long the account has been around, so we can check it against the program requirement.
- A list of your own posts: the post id, when it was posted, and what kind of post it is, so we can confirm how long the account has existed and find your recent videos.
- The view counts on your recent videos, which we use to work out your typical view count and check it against the program requirement.
- The view counts on the videos you submit to a campaign, which is what your reward is calculated from.
We use it for three things and nothing else: confirming the account is yours, checking you meet the program requirements, and working out the reward we owe you.
What we never do
- We never post, comment, like or send messages on your behalf. We only ever read.
- We do not use any of this for advertising or ad targeting.
- We never sell or rent it.
- We do not combine it with data we get from other companies.
- We do not read your private messages, your follower list, or anyone else's account.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect an account at any time from your creator profile. Disconnecting deletes the stored connection straight away, including the profile details, the counts we read and the access token, and we stop reading anything from that account. One thing to know if you are part-way through a campaign: disconnecting an account while a campaign it has videos in is still in its update period makes those videos stop counting, the same as deleting them or making them private. FAQ
Questions creators ask
Does it cost anything to join?
No. The program is free. You need a Digiphile account, and you can create one as part of the application.
Do I need a big following?
There is no follower minimum. What counts is how your recent gaming videos perform: at least 4 of your last 7 need 1,000 views or more on one platform.
Do I have to show my face?
No. Your own spoken commentary is required, but being on camera is optional.
Can I use gameplay I have already recorded?
Yes. Footage you recorded yourself is fine. The video you post has to be new, made for the collection.
Which platforms count?
TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Post the same video on more than one of your connected accounts and its views are added together. Submit each link separately.
How much can I earn?
$4 for every 1,000 qualifying views, up to $1,000 per collection. The cap is per collection, and once approved you can take part in every collection.
When do I get paid?
After the collection ends and the final view counts are in. You need at least $50 in accumulated earnings to be eligible for a payout.
Why do I need a Steam account at level 10?
It is one of the program requirements. Your Steam account has to be linked to your Digiphile account and be at level 10 or higher, and your Steam profile has to be public so we can read the level.
What if my Steam level is under 10?
You can still create your account and start the application. Once your level reaches 10, come back and re-check it from the application, and carry on where you left off.
Why would I need to reconnect an account?
TikTok, Instagram and YouTube expire app connections from time to time, on their own schedule, and that is outside our control. When one of yours needs a refresh, we send you an email right away. Reconnect it from your creator dashboard in a few clicks, and we carry on reading your views.
Can I cover more than one game?
Yes. Claim the whole collection to get every key at once, or go game by game: each video you publish and submit unlocks your next game.
What if I cannot post in time?
